Yes. A few friends have been van living up there for years. The corp has tried to enforce new "guidelines" for the parking lot but they can't do shit; it's National Forest. If you make good with Village of Taos Ski Valley police (all 3 of them), you're golden.
I'd be inclined to park low (Arroyo Seco or Valdez) and take the shuttle up daily.

Trying to decide if I should book a trip for end of March. Even though things are looking up, still kinda dicey to look too far ahead. Have there been any years where highline ridge wasn't mostly open end of March? Place shuts down April 1 I think.

How is it there right now? Doesn't seem like much is open?

Is there anything there worth bringing some GS skis for a day of groomer riding? Also, any locals want to drink tequila and smoke some weed?

As for that hike now needed to reach Taos’ out-of-this-world out-of-bounds skiing, Blake says of plans to one day erect a lift to service it, "I'll leave that to future generations. I'm very happy with my area as it is now. It's a dream come true, much more really than I ever expected. That lift is in the master plan, but in a way it would be a shame to build it. Most Americans don't get enough exercise anyway."

“...be a shame to build it” Never should have built that lift!

We may be passing through, is there dispersed camping off of 150? Some place for a small trailer on the national forest (besides up at the village)?

There are a couple-three USFS campgrounds on the way up from town, but they’re usually locked up starting about now. 150 runs through a pretty narrow steep-sided canyon, so there aren’t a lot of roads off of it. They usually allow self-contained camping up at TSV in one of the parking lots, but I’m not positive about that since the new ownership. I live not too far away, so I don’t do too much dispersed-style camping near there, but I think a good bet for nearby might be on BLM land out on the mesa.
If you don’t get a good answer here, I run a local bc skiing forum that gets good ol’ local dirtbag traffic and I bet you’d get a good answer there in the community section. You’d have to sign up for an account, but I’ll make it happen quickly.

Anyone have beta on the bc up by TSV? Heading to Taos for a long weekend this weekend and wanted to know how the coverage is going up the Williams lake trail. With wife and pup, so looking for a mellow tour basically equivalent to a Nordic ski.
And/or opinions on Sipapu? Have free days there with the Loveland pass, just not sure if it'll be a zoo with the holiday and only some of the area open.

This was one of the better storms here in the last few years. Still, need just a little better base to keep you off the rocks.
