Hit up All.I.Can and met up with SkiNebraski there (nice meeting ya!). Great flick, well shot and edited unless you want non-stop ski porn in which case PoorBoyz probably is more your style. The skiing was straight charging! Kye Peterson is really getting to be baller. The JP Auclair "urban" scene at the end is amazing, totally original and not your typical "hit the same rail over and over", he literally skis the city hitting ditches, skiing the street, back flipping over cars in the driveway. Treadway's snowmobile scene had no business in the movie considering the "environmental" slant although one might think it was included to show how the snowmobile types like him are a part of the problem. That being said, he drops cliffs/pillows on his snow machine like I've never seen. The North Face wank-off "sustainability" piece at the beginning was way too long. We get it, your the best. Show us the skiing.

I'll be at Tuesday's MSP showing with Turxski and Cinders

    all.i.can

    thought it was pretty good.

best neighborhood ski scene I have ever seen when they are schredding the Trail, BC sidewalks and driveways. Also, lots of cool editing.

So far Breaking Trail and Solitaire are the only backcountry focused films this year ... am I right or wrong?

Not sure yet about Kabuki tomorrow for me ... might be a last minute call. Anyone heading back to East Bay or any of the downtown BART stations (Civic Center/Powell/Montgomery/Embarcadero) afterwards?

We got tickets at the door last year, though we did get there an hour early (then went for pizza across the street).

    Fall 2012 for Further.

There was a string of good backcountry snowboard films in recent years: 2008 My Own Two Feet, 2009 Signatures, 2010 Deeper ... I haven't been watching the PowderWhores films but if the stuff from Svalbard or any other obscure places make it in then I'll be excited about that. I want to see unique films in less traveled places!

okay I think I'm in for MSP, and will be able to drive actually (instead of coming straight from the office). Anyone from East Bay who needs/wants a ride, lemme know asap.

Is Pizza Orgasmica still the call?

Don't get me started on that one. Took an email to MSP and their follow up email to Coop to get the shit straight. Needless to say me and him had a fun email exchange.

The 1st rule of CompClub is...don't mention the tix!
...that way there might be some left for latecomers.
(Plus those who care, know already, and last year there were 200, this year 350)

If you have any room, we'd like a ride back perleeze. Otherwise, no worries.

We're meeting up at ImmaculteDeception's place, I think...??

I ordered "Breaking Trail" recently, got it in like two days. I quite liked it. The powderwhores moved away from a tele specific movie to one that includes AT and snow boarding.

If your into back country, this is a must see.
