    Komperdell Probe and Shovel

The shovel's shaft is made of high grade aluminum and the blade is Lexan. The probe 8' 9.5'', 9.2 ox, alluminum alloy. I'd be using both of these for ski touring and mountaineering . Any thoughts on Komperdell products as a whole? Anyone use their avalanche gear? These are on sale, so I was thinking of them. Thanks, kb

Never heard of them. Avoid lexan/polycarb. Go composite or aluminium.

Bought the probe, not the shovel.
