    WTB: 170ish NE Everyday Ski

Ive been lucky enough to spend my past two college winter breaks working in Park City and skiing every day. Ive since graduated and im stuck back on the East Coast and looking for a new(used) set of boards. My everyday skis I used out there will now be my powder skis, so I need something for everyday on the East.

Im open to suggestions but for now im thinking somewhere between 75-80 (narrow and stiff enough to grip the ice, but still provide a wide platform) and around 170. Ill be honest I don't remember what typical conditions are like, and ski tech has really improved since the last time I was in VT.

180 Moment Tahoes $200+ship - ski lots shorter than 180. 99mm underfoot and have had no issues holding on EC hardpack ie ice.

As a decade long EC'er. IMHO, ice grip suffers once a ski gets over 90mm and is serviceable up to 110. The real difference you will see with a narrow ski say, 65mm race ski underfoot v a 100mm underfoot ski is the turn transition time, or how fluidly you can change from edge to edge.

Just saying, whichever skis you buy, you shouldn't limit yourself to 80mm or less unless you are looking for an EC Carver. If you are looking for an all mountain EC ski, I think you can go all the way up to 105mm.
