Some double rainbow action this evening
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Natures peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn. - John Muir

suck it up princess" - XXX on getting off mj

Thank you. Yes, the weather was excellent. It was in stark contrast to the last time I was there back in August 2004 when it rained most of the trip. I figure I deserved good weather this time around!
Banff National Park is in Alberta, by the way. We did cross into BC one day. Lake Louise is only a few miles from the border between the two provinces.
Definitely try to get there. Calgary is very easy to get to and it's just over an hour from the airport to Banff.

So, probably a dumb question: Were most of these panos done in camera or in post processing?

Not going to win any photo contests, but here's by view from work a couple weeks ago.
By the next morning the fire was within 1000 ft of the road. A backburn along the road finally stopped it before it crossed onto the mine site.

Don't see too many vertical panos here, so here's one my wife took at Mount Rainier.

Kilauea main caldera and crater... this link is a 20 pic 350mb 200 megapix pano... the original is 1.5gb but I can't get any of my host websites to be able to load it so I had to reduce the size.. which does reduce the quality a bit but you can still see quite a bit of detail... The Halemaumau crater hole is visible but the lava level is below the crater lip.. Its level fluctuates greatly and sometimes is up near the top and overflows into the caldera as evidenced by the newly deposited lava in the floor of the main caldera...

Work photo, the top of Salesforce Tower, San Francisco (ok, not really the top, it's floor 62)
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.
