    Paul McCartney 7-4-11

Got a chance to see Sir Paul for the first time last night at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. Wow, for a 69 y/o dude he absolutely rocks it out.

He played 3 hours straight, 2 encores, and I didn't see him take a sip of water even once.

He was very interactive with the crowd too, telling very cool stories about Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, and John Lennon.

He even pulled a few fans up on stage before the second encore. One couple who was holding signs up during the show that read "Hey Paul, sign my wife!" with his lady holding up a sign of her own saying "I'm the wife!". Paul got em up on stage and grabbed a sharpie and signed his name on her back. Pretty cool.

Very cool setup in the ball park too, they turned the dugouts into two giant bars, set the stage up along the outfield wall, had some sweet pyrotechnics during Live and Let Die, and about 200 boats anchored beyond the outfield wall in the Ohio.

It was great to finally catch such a historically significant act like him. The show blew away just about every other concert I've seen in recent years. If he decides to tour again, I highly recommend going.

(yeah, I know music forum, but no one goes in there.)

I saw the same show at the HP conference this year in Las Vegas. It was one or two nights before the official start of his tour. It fucking rocked, I couldn't believe I was watching a 69 y.o.

The year before HP booked Roger Daltrey, he embarrassed his own legacy by getting on that stage.
