    Fucking Awesome.

The width concern has more to do with derailleur clearance than tire performance. It looks like a great tire.

Yelli. I have never not been able to set a tire up tubeless. CG XCs were easy on Flow rims.

Sounds awesome. Maybe Slaughter up front and CG in the rear. That would be...interesting.

Put an ardent race on my front wheel today and it seems a little narrower than a 2.2 ikon (what I have been using front and rear). Looking forward to trying it out tomorrow. I rode deadman's yesterday and a little more tire would have been nice.

You would probably love a Slaughter up front.
I keep coming back to the Ardent race as a good rear. No channels, though, so is it floaty in the loose stuff?
You know what's weird? still never done Deadman's lol. How long is the climb? Obviously, it's not arduous going up a dirt road (and I can do the 1 up to University just fine). Was thinking more long and boring. Also, usually with my dog at Blue, but his shoulder has been bothering him (super bummed) so I may just have to go do it solo today or tomorrow. Let's ride!

It's about 11mi and 3k or so feet up, but you might as well be riding on flat ground. Still snow on the NE facing parts of the road higher up that we had to walk through.

Just went out for a ride. I'm in Canada visiting family, and signed up for an xc race tomorrow so I did some course pre-riding. Feels good. I put on wider bars this year too, and combined with the ardent race instead of an ikon I definitely have little more confidence cornering when it's not super hardpack.

Yeah, um, I somehow missed the top of the mountain. Probably also should have eaten more than a little brownie all day.
Ardent Race looks like a good gravel grinder. The leany knobbies look meh.
