taking girls skiing sucks

well i took some girl skiing this week. worst experience i have had in a while. you gotta be so damn patient, and it just wasnt worth it. i was skiing this fuckin greens and blues all day, and whenever i would say ski this black well it either took this girl 20min to get down a run that took me 30sec, or she would get all mad. this is one bad experience. i dont have the patience i guess. i dont recommend it at all

As one who frequently relegates himself to watching the threads form, I don't think I can count the times I've seen should I take a girl skiing? skiing with the wife sucks, why can't I get a hummer on a high speed quad, etc... OK, maybe I made the last one up.

Not to disappoint, I had to take my martini break. As a JONG I probably spend an inordinant amount of time thinking before posting. I have been known to listen much and talk very little, but I'm drunk, so here goes. I have always dreamed of packin' some punani on the Lionshead gondola. This alone is sufficient motivation to teach a bitch to ski. OK. I suck at trying to be stupid. Can I just wait until things turn to politics and embarass myself then?

the one time I took a chick skiing was one of the best days I've had. The thing to remember is that you aren't going skiing, you are going on a date to spend time with said chick. Unless she rips said chick should never be with you on a powder day. Other fun things to do is try telemarking, snowboarding, skiing switch or something you arent good at so you can learn with her.

I'd have to agree with the thread originator. Each time I've taken a girl (who's new to the sport) skiing, it has sucked-fat-ass. Mostly because you can't offer any advice or help, or they get frustrated and pissed off. It's just a bad spot to be in.

I'd kind of made a rule to myself of no non-skier or -snowboarder chicks in any sort of serious relationship, but I realized that by doing so I may be condemning myself to a long, lonely life.

meeting a woman who was a competent skier/rider, was still single, and was interested in me...well, that'd be the dream.

BTW, the best snow I have ever been on was the 1st summit at Alta, knee/thigh deep, light, and my crossmaxes sunk like rocks. Got way too drunk at MD9's party and crashed on Frozen's floor. I wear my patriotic Arcticisle T with pride. Tried to ski Brighton the next day but ended spending alot of the time watching the tele comp, drinking beer cause my legs wouldn't do what I told them to do. I guess I'm not a total JONG, but spend alot of time in the shadows...

Good to commune with fellow addicts. Fuels the soul.

Totally off topic. Taking chicks skiing rules.
