I no longer work in the brewing industry and have returned to Coors Banquet, PBR, Utica Club, and Tecate. I still drink some IPAs sometimes but honestly, I really am starting to just like the lighter stuff more. Even when i go to a brewery i just get a pilsner.

My current go-to since certain CO beers are unobtanium here.
I still like a beer with substance, but avoid the syrupy stuff and Uber-hopps. Amazing how much IPA is out there when you’re looking for a non-IPA.

This stuff is pretty good. A little less hoppy than the Sierra green can.

For me probably Wanderlust IPA from Breakside. My Costco almost always has it in four packs for a decent price and it always hits the spot for me.

Pacifico and Heineken. Uninteresting? Sure, but I don’t drink a lot of beer and when I do I want it cold and refreshing and not all that filling.
Now, if I could only get my hands on some Dortmunder Gold…I still call it The Jake.

I’ve only seen one store ever in the states that carried that, and it’s a a run down convenience store on the Oregon coast run by a old Czech guy. It’s the actual budweiser from Czech that anheuser busch lawyers managed to steal the name. Most excellent beer. The pFreim pilsner out of hood river is the closest beer I’ve found to tasting similar. 100 times better pouring into a glass or on tap.

And to add about the Czechvar, I was introduced to it by a past client of mine, Bobby Holik.
He was in the NHL and played Center for the Whalers, Devils and Rangers.
He has a home in Jackson and his wife is quite the equestrian. The horse barn is a gotdamn mansion itself.
He tipped us out one Friday with Czechvar for all.
FKNA.
