considering alta is holding a 190 inch base, i dont think snowbird will be closing anytime soon.
i bet they could have legit broken their record too this year instead of breaking it by moving the study plot.

To second shred. I too have heard rumors of them not opening saturday either. Hope it's a nasty rumor.
I think even if they open it will be super limited terrain. Let's hope they are bombing the shit out of mineral otherwise no way to the peak cept to boot it up from pdog. If the snows that sketchy I don't think they'd allow the hiking. I mean limited crew and why waste bombs. I'd expect if mineral is open there will be no access beyond hyena ridge. No rd to Provo. No baldy. Any sun at all tomorrow and shits going to start going.
Got after it bird, it's my 40th tomorrow I want a pow day with lifts.

Patrol has been temporarily closing east facing terrain and ski cutting. Some large debris piles from the towers two and three areas from that work. No public involved as far as I know.

Great morning today. Cirque is still skiing well even this late in the year, and Mineral had some fun lines as well. Assuming it's open again tomorrow AM, I'll be back up for more laps.
Anyone else see/hear those two slides on Superior? Stopped mid run b/c I could hear em over my headphones... looked like a waterfall over the cliff. I also saw a fracture above the Bookends traverse late morning that I didn't recall seeing early morning.

I got after it from 9 till 1ish. First couple hours were still pretty fun, flat light central rolled in around 11. Snow still wasn't as grabby as I thought it would be, and I was def. stoked to ski right onto every lift. Last NOAA forecast I saw said 7-9" midweek... I'll be back Saturday
