River's on the rise. Already out of it's banks just a little east of me and it still has 4 feet to hit flood stage.

This storm has us in flash flood warning mode.

Lightning wind and thunder like it was the middle of August out there.

    With a 30° temperature drop.

YMMV but I like the Led Zepplin version the mostest

we are probably at least 3 months away from flooding up here

I’m stuck in Nashville since Charlotte airport is all jacked up. If only I could find concert tickets, I think I’ll look on Craigslist maybe.

Crikey. We've got roads flooded out, bridges washing away and levees eroding. People are racing to evacuate livestock.

Laying here in bed all I can hear is the river raging.

We are now over flood stage. River is expected to crest tomorrow.

    Crazy.

3am: nothing like being jolted awake by the sound of an emergency warning notification on your phone. Ugh.

Fork me! Light of day is revealing heavy flooding. River is 5ft over flood stage. Both bridges out are flooded. Fields are flooded. Hwy 12 is closed. Crazy.

Yesterday was 24 years to the day of the last historical flood. Who says lightening doesn't strike twice?

We used to get trapped by floods on the Tolt where the road would flood downriver from where we lived.

Our house was on the inside of a bend in the river where it was steep and logs the size of train cars would go thumping by in the 10000+ cfs floods. It was impressive.

Now we live on the crest of a hill where puddles are the biggest annoyance. Not impressive.

Around 6.5 inches of rain here yesterday per the USGS website. River went from 1 to 11 feet but has already receded quite a bit. Sun and blue skies today.

Yeah... I'm just sitting here on the bench watching my neighbor's homes on the basin floor get swallowed up by the Walla Walla. Currently at 19+ ft (flood stage is 13ft) and still rising.

My property does run to the basin floor with the Walla Walla crossing it on the far north end. My wheat field is now a rice patty.
