    Anyone live in the fernie area

    Need to know what you guys think.

    How long will it take to get from the calgary airport to fernie.
    Also what effect bad weather has on the trip
    Will be traveling jan 5th. in the afternoon.

    Ddue, just pay attention to the "Road Closed" signs .

    3 hours in good weather. Add maybe an hour if the weather is lousy.

    It's a mostly flat highway all the way there with one low mountain pass.

    yeah, eldo is right. Take Highway 22 X and it will shave 1/2 hour off your trip.


    PS: watch out for those guys with the white and red license plates. They go like a bat out of hell on the flat and slow down to a snails pace when they get to the mountains.

    That would be the people who moved here from Saskatchewan.
