    London maggots: beers and curry this Wednesday

    Right then, you assholes, what's the plan for Wednesday? Shall we meet central or south of the river for the best curry in all of London?

    So far I have:

    Roo = confirmed
    Mulletizer = confirmed
    Arno = interest shown, need confirmation
    Hayduke = unusually low level of whinging, but interest shown
    Me = confirmed and brandishing my whip. Gawd knows, I need it with you lot. It's like herding flippin' cats!

    Who else will join us?

    Of course! The national dish is curry, after all.

    Almost makes me want to fly back to London.....

    Head to Brick Lane, never fails!... A couple of the best places just off the main lane will not serve alcohol, but allow you to hit up the bottle shop first.....

    No way!! The best curry is in either Tooting or Southall/Wembley. Brick Lane is a trap for tourists and "trendies", though there is a branch of Mirch Masala nearby on Commercial Road. This is a good thing.

    Mmmm. Me love curry. Checked into flights to Europe today for my son and I this summer and they were $1200-1500! That's some expensive curry. I need to search some more for better fares but I'm thinking a Detroit(my brother)/Niagara falls/NYC/DC trip might be our little sojourn. Doesn't NYC have good curry?

    I hate you all.

    You will be forgiven if you arrange another one on 29 March, though.

    I will be along at 7.30ish. Don't think I can make a drink beforehand but will ring if that changes.
