Best thing is to stay in your vehicle if your hit by an avalanche and wait for help.
If you have cell service, I would call for help and stay put. A maintenance vehicle or avalanche tech should be on scene shortly.
You don't know if there are multiple start zones for that path that just released. The vehicle offers lots of protection.
If your not stuck, try to find a safe zone such as an area with mature timber on the uphill side.
If the vehicle is totally buried, turn off the engine. If you have a probe, try pushing it to the surface.
Probably don't have to tell this to most folks on this board, but its not a bad idea to be transmitting if equipped."A lack of planning and preparation on your part does not make it an emergency on my part."

You know the guys who made that video?
If so, hook me up with them.
I'd like to break their jaws.
Thanks!Besides the comet that killed the dinosaurs nothing has destroyed a species faster than entitled white people.-ajp

The guys filming not only sound like complete retards, but listen to 14 year old girl music. I'd like to meet them just for kicks.
