Gonna be a late winter then? I can't believe it'll start late AND end early like last time.

Hey guys, I posted this in the "summits" forum, maybe some of you are interested? I'd like to put some sort of Swiss mag Summit together, maybe meet up for some pre-season laps and grill chill/beers? Seems like a good way to meet some fellow mags, make some friends and have a good time. Oh, and we gotta throw a snow dance or two in there

    Here's the post....

    We need one of these!!!!!!!

No what we need is three of these or the Brits can start sending carpet our way!!!

Edit: At this point I will even go out on a limb and say; No precip in the eastern alps for the entire month of November. Its gonna happen, and that just makes life shitty.

Might need some new flipflops and beach tennis rackets if the weather stays like this...

Hey Keksie, did you ever get to hike up to the fernauer side? Been really busy with work and having the flu so skiing wasn't top of my list recently.

And I, being located in Finland, will get to spend three months (bit of a once in a lifetime chance) of the season in .. tadaa, Austria! Starting to feel a bit bummed out, but maybe the base will be there, when I get away from the office after December.

So how do the people living at the alps consider this "winter"? Worst in 10, 50 or 100 years? Has there been a resurrection from this deep? How does this autumn compare to 2006?

It has happend, and it has recovered arround the first week of december. In the southern Alps it actually has happend for like 10 years in a row from 1988 to 1998.

The winter solstice (December 22nd) officially starts winter. We should be patient.
Saying that, I booked a mid-December trip to Chamonix ...
