It makes no difference. I seriously think I am the only mountain biker with a hard tail bike in my area. Well, me and the grannies riding to the market on Saturday. There are some pretty rough, rooty and rocky trails, but I still don't find a full suspension bike necessary like 99.99% of the Germans do.

I'm also the only biker in my area that doesn't wear spandex pants/shorts and a tight-fitting jersey while riding. I feel so out of place here!

I'm thinking of heading to Lech/Zurs next week Mon-Wed/Thursday. I start a new job on the 21st and am going to reward myself with a little ski trip to a place I've been meaning to go for 2 years now. Is anyone going to be in the Arlberg area during that time? My usual ski buddies can't make it during the week so I'll be on my own but would love to hook up with someone if they'll be in the area - especially someone with a little inside knowledge on where the goods are!

then you should come down to switz some time this summer for some non-spandex riding.

but then you may want that full susp.

This is for leBig, who skis more than I do, but still managed to leave the day before the best day of the season. Unfortunately, not too many pictures because we were either skiing too much, or I was so excited that I screwed up the few that I took.

Not the best photo ever, but was one of the longest white rooms I've ever been in. Popped out of it just enough to watch the slough blow by.

    Hmmm....maybe not many pictures...

But quality beats quantity...those action shots are stunning.

Damn telenendaz and -Verbier. They are closing a big part of the area on sunday despite of the excellent snow conditions. Closing:
    - Plan du fou sector (already yesterday closed despite the amazing pow up there)
    - total prinze sector(sector of Nendaz, Veyzonaz etc), except Sivez-Tortin.
    - Col de chassoure
    - Mt. Gelé
    - Lac des Vaux

The Attelas funispace will stay open together with the (main) lifts between mt. Fort and Verbier, and Mt. Fort and Sivez.

    Closing Lac de Vaux?
I'm surprised as that is usually the first to open and last to close.

Hell Yeah, Schnappi, I'm totally depressed now in front of my humble home...

and I know that I don't ski as much as Schnappi, usually only one run/day, single track in gentle slope because I'm so slow...

Anyway succeeded to stay alive through Scandiland without damages (no one kicked me into ass) .

    Take care and have fun!

Looks like Sunday is the day due to the warming around. Verbier might be the call but there is this little other ski area up the road that might have some nice snow too
