    ^^Glad they were all ok!

Wednesday was pretty deep in Tyrol, but also with pretty sketchy stability. And once things got tracked, tree roots and stuff were much more prevalent than they should be for the time of year.

Gifs are fun though, and so was bouncing around like Tigger:

Anne seemed to enjoy herself too:

Doesn’t actually look like a fun line either with the rocks under the snow. Hope the guy is ok.

Smart move to ski such a line directly after major snowstorm with tricky snow cover throughout the season. Jeez, why are people so stupid...

First time (?) I may agree with roquer.
And the Rock scramble to get in there doesn't look appealing.

    euros-
been watching the weather from a distance this season from the US after 3 incredible seasons floating through the alps. Missing it is an understatement. Debating HEAVILY on a trip out there in 30 days from now and I know there is no crystal ball here but the trend for the last 6 weeks hasnt been great. Is there anything upstream that looks like it could shift the pattern. I know there are a few storms trickling through here and there but nothing consistent and cold repetitive. Anything going to cause a shift? Any insights would be excellent.

No. Cold air northern America warm Eastern Europe. Northern hemispheric setup doesn't change.

    BUT.
some models make a more active polar jet stream. Further south.
We have a major dump coming Tuesday (but November conditions down low).

And there is a slight chance next week. But the ecmwf heavyweight does not see the wet westerly pattern next week.

    30 days... Anything can happen.

Seems to get better towards the end of this week - anyone around Zurich (Davos, Engelberg, Andermatt and such is fine, too) up for a ski tour or skiing on Thursday (Friday might work, too). Would like to play it safe but finally get some powder turns.
