Any suggestions for getting a cuff pivot screw in Lucerne? Or should I just wait until I'm in Andermatt?

Evidently I didn't pay attention when packing, I don't have the outside hardware+screw on one pivot. I trust the buckles and rivet in the spine will hold my boot together enough to ski if I can't get my hands on something.

FWIW (unrelated to Lucerne), I had my screw/special washer fall out one day from my Atomic Hawx. I found a random metric bolt and washer that did the trick for a short while; skied fine and much better than no bolt. Found a proper Atomic special washer and bolt later.

Good call. Looks like maybe M8? Maybe M6? I'm not too worried about it

I think mine was M8. I'd skied a few hard laps here in Aspen, sans-bolt and it was manageable but a little odd-feeling. Def nice to have the shell staying in line if you can get something in there.

US East Coaster here going to be in Chamonix on the 29th and 30th. First time skiing the alps.

I've got a guide for the Vallee Blanche on the 30th (Saturday), but on Friday (29th), I'm solo riding lifts. Anybody have any advice for where to go? Currently debating between Le Brevent/La Flegere and Les Grands Montets. How to choose?

A long shot, but - if anybody is in the area and wouldn't mind showing me around, I will be very grateful and buy beers at the end of the day.

Tough call on going to Grands Montets- depends on whether they have the blauchard lift up and running. The main tram to the top of the mountain is closed for the season due to a fire. There are 2 other lifts that go 3/4s of the way up...Herse and Blauchard. So if the fix blauchard quickly, you will have decent access but if not, its severely cut off..unless you are looking to skin up. Then different story....

Ok I've just watched your "Freeriders" video, so you're the guy I've seen at the top of Bouquetin with 2 kids, and the DPS you're riding are some Lotus 124, correct ? I was in orange/blue with the grey mammut airbag vest. Small world

Haha yep that was us. Tough snow and viz but the kids loved it. Glorious conditions yesterday. Cold temps, hot sun. Snow holding up well on the North facing stuff.

Nice pic of the North Face. Try B52 if you’re still around. Or this could be good on Sunday after the comp

Excellent touring off Colle San Carlo/Lago D’Arpy in Valle D’Aosta.

Acceptable views from our lunch rock. Happy couple.

Still waiting for it to hit Innsbruck area. Clouds are building but wind is still crazy here. Sceptical that the amounts forecast are actually going to fall here, even with the usual -40% realism calculator factored in.
