Yeah. I've been expecting as much. The snowpack is really fucked everywhere except lower valais, France and maybe in the east now where the Meter + fell.

i thought maybe with the additional snow fall in east Österreich it would bridge the PWL once the new snow stables up

Getting near the time of year where I write the winter off. Yeah, it can snow big in March but that ain’t really a “winter” is it?

No real possiblities until late February. And then it gets really warm. Winter below 1500-2000m is basically done.

Today is surprisingly fun around the localSpot. 30cm on 10-30cm base.
But the base is unbelievably rotten. Keeping a low Profile avi wise.

First of my "powder Tuesdays" I imagined having at the start of this school year envisioning an epic winter while looking at my schedule.....

Went up to galtür last Friday which must have been my first taste of pow this season. Still a hell of a lot of bushwacking involved, same base issue as everywhere. Saturday stayed local in innsbruck and it was the same old shitshow. Nordkette obviously closed due to avi levels above treeline, so everyone decamped to alternate venue. People getting pushed out of gondolas in rush to get in first. Lack of awareness of who is below when cutting into slopes no one should have been in in those conditions and the inevitable triggerings. Sadly as others have said it doesn't surprise anymore. Still a nice day sticking to mellow trees.

That’s one thing I like about where I’m based. It’s pretty low key. Yes, it’s also not all that great but hey, hard to have it all anymore

Does anyone have beta on La Grave conditions? Webcam makes it look like late spring and melt/freeze. Undecided on going there the week after next with the dire forecast. Anyone know if the standard lines are still worth it at the moment (i.e. 5.1 difficulty max)? Or all bombed out? Thanks!

    Snow for the Euros.

Northerly aspects above 1700m in central Switzerland: Tasty!

Can't tell from this photo, but 30+cm of facets, north facing couloir(Pyrenees).
Pretty narrow, but it skied really well, at least once it got to be more than 2m wide.

20-40cm possible! And just a week away? AMAZING!

I have another amazing alert for April! It's gonna be epic.

and you do realize that the current current models runs start to let the trough drift into the mediterranean and may be only the southern alps get any snow, if at all?
