Engelberg was nice today too. It's not so quiet anymore, the early season spirit is slowly going away.
Top of Steinberg was quite wind affected with funny knee-deep dunes. Two slides took away large parts of the powder fields on the glacier.
Otherwise it was smooth and soft.

Well the upper part of that was more of an adventure than anything else. Sharky and the fluff had slid out. Low angle or sheltered was the way to go.

Still pretty low tide compared to the real south.

Just in case you want to see the avie where two died on the hellbronner:
    https://www.instagram.com/p/B5i6SX3I...d=vymiincxendp

And tof henry's comment on insta is more than Borderline moronic:
"Hellbronner can give you so much Happiness, but it can also be tragedy. "

Dude should be honest about the chamonix scene and write "we drop in in any condition because we don t give a fuck! so they died, who cares!! I'll drop in first again next time anyway! woah. Yeah! Freeride! yeah!"

seriously. It's like the powdermag article from 2010 where they portray the "chamonix riders of the future" 3 out of 4 are dead by now. Quelle surprise. This acting by Tof that it's all a Big Coincindence and fate and bad luck is so annoying.
IT's not. It's a choice. If you choose to ski a line that BIG and consequential, which is waay out of any avi level 3 (or 4? i think the swiss side had a 4) comfort zone, on a fucking south facing slope right after the storm, you can die. period.

And that is ok for me. But dont act like it's the biggest surprise ever.

What annoys me even further is that he not only puts the footage of the slide online, but nooo he puts in the "sick freeride footage" of the exact same line the guys died on and he skied first 5min earlier.

I think that was the same spot that slid when we were there when the boarder came riding out with his airbag inflated.

Would have been interested to see the footage. Cham is crazy. Glad I skied it pre-kids. SP, you are not wrong btw.

I agree with you that it was poor taste to post the freeriding. But if it annoyed you so much why did you repost it?
