Jesus! Lucky you’ve already got a missus...
Tell us what hospital you’re in and we’ll send wine (or stronger!)

Holy fuck. Ouch.
That's why I stick to bouldering and sports climbing.

Many thanks for all the kind words dudes. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions since, but really I can only be positive about the whole thing. Why be upset that you nearly died when you can be happy that you didn't?
Angry geology is everywhere, dude! Don't think you're safe just because you're only ten meters off the ground!Short stories about snow and rock, and pictures, too

Peds, I'm just reading this. Glad you're still here. What a ride.
And thanks to putting it into words.

Glad yer still with us.
Angry geology is some classic shit n your write up was absolutely riveting.
Hopefully I’m wrong, but that fall sounds like some PTSD inducing shit n I suspect your brain might not feel so comfy with exposure for awhile. Heel up man n feeling blessed to b alive is damn straight+++

Feel like my words are pretty inadequate in the face of such holy-shit-near-death antics, and such fiery, adrenaline pumping prose. But glad to be able to read it dude.

Opening day at Courmyeur. Only Plan Gabba, Yula and Arp open for skiing.
Coffee and skiing (that which was open was excellent) . Piste was gripy but not hard. Off was Ankle to Knee of light on a firm, or on some aspects crunchy base.
Not enough base yet in the trees, but sticking to more open glades avoids too much rock/tree hopping.
Arp to Yula there is a new piste been smashed in to the steep face.
The ancient lifts are going to be more stretched than ever.
Dropping off the back of Yula was great, open and at noon almost untracked.
Saw a few track all the way out to Zerotta, that's either a sled pickup or 10km walk!Knowledge is Powder
