For what i saw friday, Allalinhorn (ok, that's likely to be a bit crowded) and Alphubel are in excellent conditions - still for all the first half of july for sure

Around Gd-St-Bernard, it' so easy because you're getting high using the road, there is still something nice to do, like Aiguille des Sasses or Fenetre en Haut, e.g.

    Yes, it is cold.
But, I don't see snow anywhere at 2000m.
When the clouds clear, I might some above 2000m.
    And, it is cold here.

re: SSB. i don't think i would even mind much anymore about the lift closing. it would be a perfect skin-only area. a little avy control might be nice tho.

    Cheers!

Well, but that's over the tree-line (= +o- 2.100 m her around). This morning Portail de Fully e Gd-Chavalard was the same but now it's already gone. For that little i wouldn't wake up the skis.

In any case, really cold, seasonwise is given by the forecast for tomorrow and wednesday (snowlimit between 1.500 and 1.800 m).

PS. Your photo is wherefrom? Sanetsch?

the least known aski area in cenatral switzland. absolutely no skandinavian residents during the winter

austrai should get most of this first storm of the season. so no need to wax swiss skis.
