We're fucked now. Maybe it lightens up, but maybe not.

If ski touring is out too... I'll just skateboard.

I have a feeling it's going to be a banger winter though, so that's not good for skateboarding.

    Indeed, things are deteriorating quickly....
I need to ski just to clear my head.

It's all happening now because they know they'll never stop people travelling at Christmas so they'll have to open up then regardless!!

    And Austria shuts down.....
Methinks a lack of a ski season will soon be pretty low on our list of worries

Looked pretty good in Verbier for opening weekend but suspect they’ll struggle to open any more with the dry looking forecast over the next couple of weeks

Great skis. Super light for the up but still ski well in all conditions. This review rings true for me. I have the 178’s and agree they ski quite short.

    TUESDAY 03 NOVEMBER 2020

OPENING DAY IN THE CENTRAL BEACONS MASSIF

First snow and first turns of the 2020/21 Winter Season here in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales

Headed up the Storey Arms path and caught up with Chris in Cwm Llwch.

Couple of runs on the ridgeline between Cwm Llwch and Cwm Sere and then I hit the ridgline off Corn Du solo.

Tried to ski back towards the Storey Arms path but the ground was very warm and was melting off pretty quickly.

Tremendous scenery from Corn Du despite the rain squalls and wild wind.

But you need rain to get rainbows.

    Excellent first day on skis

    Chris

    Fan Fawr

    Cribyn

    Corn Du

    Cwm Llwch

Yours truly skiing the ridgeline between Cwm Llwch and Cwm Sere

Yours truly skiing the ridgeline off Corn Du

Like I told my last wife, I never drive faster than I can see, besides it's all in the reflexes.
