ACL rupture and some peripheral meniscus damage apparently. Did it a few weeks back and thought it was just a sprain so did a week of RICE and have kept skiing, albeit more carefully, with a brace. Go under the knife on May 1st for a reconstruction. At least the timing is good... hoping for a last hurrah of the season next weekend

Alpine. Don’t think it was the bindings fault. Was skiing some tricky snow and forced a turn in the backseat which hyper extended and twisted my knee. Probably shouldn’t have been trying to follow a FWT champion down a couloir 😉

One of my biggest regrets this season is that I didn't get the chance to ski with Mikko even once. He is such a fun dude to spend time in the hills with.

Yes, he's a nice guy and the route beta available is just mindblowing. If anyone is interested on following pretty steep stuff go down, then jesperpeterrson is someone to follow on IG. They usually ski together with Mikko. Mikko doesn´t really post public that much himself anymore. I´m pretty sure there's still a few pretty epic updates coming this spring

Seems it was the guide that fell trying to get to the Vignettes so 2 groups joined up and tried to tough out the storm on the mountain. Must have been terrifying.

    Bon appétit!

Welcome to my brand new knee. ACL rupture and meniscus damage fixed with Patellar tendon graft and arthroscopic mensiscus repair. Done by a Doctor Jacques Vallotton in Lausanne. The right now feels bullet proof after he fixed that one a couple of years back. Fingers crossed I can stick to the rehab and get the legs stronger than ever for Winter 2018/2019. Vibes to those out there with injuries and on the road to recovery...

Busy day on the Mallory with quite a few teams, but all strong skiers with good brains. Not overcrowded, not dangerous. Super happy to have shared it with two of my most trusted comrades, and behind so many skilled ski mountaineers and freeriders. A good choice of where to go today.

Bad Ass Ped! One of the most impressive mini-TRs ever. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure you'll write up a long version when you have time. The exposure and route finding is no doubt mind blowing.

Peds, that is quite a box to tick! Chapeau 👏 Look forward to a more detailed account of the route! You seem to have been in some good company up there.
