spooky to see that exactly where we were skiing that foggy day; lots of hangfire above that traverse.

Meh warm and dry until infinity.
I will try to tour the next few days and if it sucks, I will be pebble wrestling. Good thing is that you can do both in ticino.

Snow for the Euros.
Jdadour and I start skiing on Jan 2nd out of Zurich and have to car to be able to chase pow for the next 2.5 weeks. I’m not really seeing any snow until maybe the 9th currently; anyone see something different in the forecasts or do you think we’re safe to book accommodation until then and then chase any possible pow after?
We’re from California and storms don’t magically appear out of dry forecasts here, but not sure if that’s the case for a 10-day forecast in the Alps.
Would be great to meet up with y’all and share some turns, lunch and beers are on us.

The forecast is abysmal. Got touring.
Southern Switz is a bit funky from the westerly storm. Massive base but severely wind affected. Best snow was crusty tree fun. I will try a different expo tomorrow and if it yields the same results go Bouldering....

I can't think of another cable car that has just 1 car. Usually, there's 2 which counterweight each other.Merde De Glace On the Freak When Ski

Hi folks. Heading to the Dolomites during the first week of February (fingers crossed they get snow again - ugh). Then making my way toward Zurich and have 4-5 ski days. Looking for recommendations for non-Arlberg (already been to St Anton a few times) locations with good access to steeps/couloirs. Entertaining Innsbruck for Axamer-Lizum/Nordkette, and maybe also staying at either Solden and Ischgl. Do either Solden or Ischgl fit the bill? Don't know too much about either of those places, particularly off-piste around Ischgl. If you had to pick one to actually stay in (not looking for a wild time), which would you choose? Would appreciate any tips! Thanks.
