Cool. Really need to ski there! Cycled up to Col de La Croix a couple of weeks back and enjoyed the view!

    Great start in Verbier too

That's an old pic. Snow all the way down to Göschenen now.

Spent the weekend bashing pistes on the Gemsstock. Pretty shallow outside the ropes but plenty were giving it a go.Click image for larger version.

The coming weekend looks nice in the south. A bit cloudy though. I may check my old tree stomping grounds in ticino .

St. Moritz will get more snow especially in the first dump right now. But I'd like to have lifts if I travel that far. And above treeline at diavolezza is no Bueno in flatlight shark hunting conditions.

Davos Klosters opening lifts for the weekend. Gonna get some turns. I keep telling myself I won’t go off-piste, but I’ll be taking rock skis because I know I won’t resist temptation...

I always mention something positive, if it's really worth mentioning.

btw. the amounts in the south eastern alps are going full on bonkers. up to 600mm precip (=6m snow) in some models until Tuesday. The conservative consensus (in the models!) ist 3-4m of snow. But as those italian lows are notoriously fickle we'll see it as we get there.
    first powderguide alert is out.
and another one tomorrow evening and then maybe another one on sat. woohoo?

Wow, 3 meters forecast for Bad Gastein?

From Adria low to Genoa low and maybe even a retour d'est for the western alps?

Hopefully this is the basebuilder for the season.

Indeed, massive sustained winds here on the north side of the alps. Somehow they still managed to get the ski hill up and running however. So much snow blown away with the wind.

The second run was even better. Face shots on the first day of the season and no bottom.
At treeline we have about 120-130cm bottomless. My pole went all the way Click image for larger version.
