Always appreciate the very motivational Wales stoke. Who needs snow to ski really? We should stop whining so much in the Alps

Worktrip at Dachstein the last couple of days. Nice to get away from the heat in the valley a bit.

    Ha ha Klar.

There's more snow removed from that hole than fell in Snowdonia

It really isn't the biggest north face here in Cham, but it is definitely one of the prettiest.

Bottomless pow on the Tour Ronde north face, 21/05. It would be nice to get some more of the same, but with a hot hot heatwave on the way and no real clouds on the horizon, this could be the beginning of the end for winter 2017, one of the shortest winters on record.

    excellent as always peds.
Fairly fun conditions today on the stubaier glacier, windbuffed weird mix of cream cheese and icy patches. Some nice snow was moved around by the wind. Not many people about too. Pretty nice for a bank holiday morning.

I inquired about some of the via ferrata's in the Dolomites a while back up thread, but now we are looking to nail down lodging. We will be driving up from Milan during the first week of October and will have 5 days up there. What are the best town's to stay on that side of the range? I am fine with touristy type of places as we will be there during week, but the wife is also a big foodie. Any other ideas for an itinerary? We are having trouble because there is so much information out there.

    Nice music.
I'm pretty alright at rock climbing so I'm trying my first 8A/8A+ bloc IN magic wood instead of skiing these days. But I'm lame and pretty much pow only...

Yeah some bike stuff, some dragging shit around on glaciers stuff. Weather alternates between stupid hot and humid and less hot and humid with severe thunderstorms here and there.

the big thing is a steam drill. yes, I'd like a sherpa but we have to make do with an intern who we can't abuse too much because otherwise he'll quit.

Saas-Fee was sweet on Saturday! 30-40cm of new snow on the glacier. It's always winter somewhere...Name: Saas Fee 12.08.2017.jpg

And I'll be ruining real estate values somewhere in the Alps Jan 10-24.

Yeah it did snow a bunch. Not really helpful for the rest of the season...
Some gloppy rock hopping in the fog & awkward skiing while tied together yesterday.
