    TR: UT11-2: Redemption

Edit: the title of this thread is officially changed to epic pow face shots craziness hookers blow etc. or something else that grabs your attention. What a fkn run.

    Part 1
UT11-1 didnt turn out so hot as we observed a incredibly rare rain event in LCC in January. 5 weeks of prayer to Ullr were answered this past week, and we were able to hit Snowbird in epic conditions.
Started out Friday after the Thursday powder day

Mike as the next storm approaches

    true love

    Early scenic

Early saturday morning Ullr opened the skies and dropped 4 inches btwn 5 and 8am. Nobody expected Saturday to be a powder day - and those sleeper days are sometimes the best.

Mike samples the goods on saturday morning

    Gad2 was deep...

    Airin it out

by saturday night the snowcam was buried

    uh oh

Cirque was skiing awesome once we got up (4 tram lines in the mornin)

    tips up

Sunday was storm skiing at its best. Over two feet had fallen and it nuked all day. Another 6-8 of pure smoke on Sunday night, and monday the sun came out
(bit more snow on those roofs...)

    fresh cirque goodness

    ptessler, not turning much

Never saw the twins look so pretty

We had the pleasure of dropping the rope on little cloud bowl...ahead of the crowds...

I was literally the first one down the bowl. great turns were had. but by the time i stopped, got a camera out, and looked back up, lots of tracks...

Great pow turns all day, really incredible snow conditions.

    yum

    stay tuned for part 2

    Part II

The adventure continues at the Canyons. First day I spent poking around, finding very little in bounds that was worth skiing. The next day though i was lucky to hook up with mc_roon for a few slackcountry laps.

Easy access out the gate was sweet, though the number of gapers walking out unprepared was startling. Each of them was asked for bacon, for good measure.

The skin is easy, and made easier by the view

last months objective, mt. Raymond, prominently viewable (TR here: https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...e-bright-spots )

mc_roon, first run on goalposts. he sends it wide right after i split the uprights. (it was good).

Got to meet sitski13 atop 9990, very cool. His buddy was doing some speedflying off the ridge

next run mc_roon dropped us on top of this perfect cliff band

    deep soft snow

next lap, did i mention the view?

    bluebird powshot

    and a bit lower down

Big thanks to mc_roon for the mini tour.
Today is hopefully the calm before the storm cuz the conditions were pretty brutal. Highpoint for sure was chasing sitski13 around some groomers. Dude rips!

Part III? More storm skiing? Yes please.
