    Current Whistler Conditions?

Contemplating a trip northward as high pressure seems to be here in Tahoe for the rest of the year. Would appreciate any first hand beta. Thanks!

Well that sucked pretty bad. After the rain on Friday came a coldfront which froze up Friday's mess quite nicely. We were basically sliding on a skating ring this past weekend. Fresh snow's expected this Tuesday. Let's keep 'm crossed.

I heard from a few sources that it was pretty bad on the weekend - unless you're into a little east coast hardpack action.

I'd wait and watch the weather - hopefully snow will come soon....

I'll second that. It was ice top to bottom on Sat. Brutal.

Total garbage. If you want to play some hockey there is a sweet ice rink where a ski resort used to be.
We need a lot of snow to bury that ice, and then we get stuck with early season layer that will haunt us for the next few months.

Thursday was sweet before all the rain. Haven't been up since, because of all the stories of death ice.

That's awesome. I've never skated on a 5000 acre rink before

It's so bad the jibbers have dropped the terms 540 and 900 in favor of single and double axels. Ba-dum-dum.
