    TR: Spoon Couloir/East Face, Disappointment Peak, GTNP 1/27/11

    So its been blue in the Tetons and EPskisforlife and I decided to hit up the Spoon Couloir on Disappointment Peak. It was fun. Here are some pictures

    EP skins through the cloud layer


    On the way up Teewinot pokes its head out


    The Spoon comes into view as we approach Surprise Lake


    Gotta get there somehow. _Aaron_ skins toward the Spoon

    Done.

    Had a hard time getting the tracks to show in this one. Any help anyone?

    Ran into a party of 5 on our way out on the way to ski the Spoon as well, so if you're thinking about heading up you may want to think about something else.

    I'm pretty sure that of the last 3-4 awesome TRs I've read on here, they've all been yours dude. This is super rad. Very strong work all around.
    Amphitheater lake sure does look a bit different in the summer...

    TR Approved. Dig the gtnp stuff from you. If you have photshop try adjusting the levels, black and white is usually best for making the tracks pop.

    Goatski, Sounds like your road trip is going well. Whitefish is awesome and theres some good touring in GNP if youre up for some walking again. Have fun in Canada. Oh and I put some of the pictures from that day on the pass in the Teton conditions thread if you want to check them out. Ive got more too so let me know if you want them.
