Hey ex T-Tips folks, anybody else remember these? I just realized I might have the only one still in use. Made me smile.

Not the only one. And I know TG still has hers because she posted it on FB a month ago.

The Telesafari was one of the best things to come out of TTips, and I cherish these two mugs.

Back to ntn. I’m finally purchasing ntn boots. I’m feeling biased toward tx-comps instead of tx-pro. I really like stiffer boots for the down, but I’m capable of skiing challenging/fun resort conditions in very lightweight gear. I want to experience more downhill power.

To start my transition, I have rotte clamps and a pair of groomer zoomers to accept the clamps, thanks to PB(!!). I’ll mostly be zooming corduroy and working (on groomers) on this set up. For now, I’ll still be using my garmont eneg’s for other skiing (for now). I’m figuring that I’ll hold out for a few seasons after their release before buying that unicorn boot that scarpa keeps hinting about, so I don’t see myself gravitating towards tele pin bindings until that boot is out.

Does that make sense? Am I missing something. Tele coworkers that have watch me ski recommend the tx comp over the tx pro. I think there may be a few that have tx pro’s that wished they’d gotten the comps.

    Smart man re the Comps.

Too bad you're not a 29.0 - I've got a first gen pair that's over due for moving on.

Thanks for everything! My teen fits that size but is not interested in tele skiing at the moment.

Anyone who has made the switch from T-Race to TX-Comp (a small population I know): any reason why I can’t use my Intuition Power Wraps from the old T-Race in the new Comps? Really like those liners and they still have life left…

I use my wraps from my old T2's in my TX Pro's for lift served instead of the stock TX Pro tours without issue. Probably would be better to re-mould them for the specific shell, especially if there is a hot spot that develops, but otherwise, why not?

Just what I was thinking. Thanks.

    Telemark skiing is dead.

Why don’t you carpet test with the old liners (w/o rebaking them) in the new shell?

That was the stoke I needed this afternoon, thanks Bronic. Looks to me like tele is alive and well out at the old ski ranch.

Don't get to smug in your trashing tele skiing. With rising crowds, rising prices, sprawling parks chopping up the mountain, disney rides cluttering ski runs, rising temps reducing snow pack, and ski areas selling out to rich people. For the general masses, skiing/riding may not have a very long future either. Ask not for whom the cash register tolls, it tolls for all of us.

Why are you posting this in a thread that’s a safe space in which we celebrate the fact that tele ain’t dead?

    No, telemarking is not dead!
Of course, you can achieve better performance with modern skis,
but telemarking will remain as a nice sport.
I am used to admire telemarkers whenever I meet them in steep couloirs.
