I was a way better tele skier than anyone on here back in the 90’s, just sayin is all. None of that paramarking bullshit, fully loading up the back ski and straight up ripping shit. No lie, I was better than you, it’s true. Then the day came when we got K2 Four demos at the shop I was at in Waterville Valley. One of the boys came down and said I needed to try them, grabbed some rental boots and locked down, two runs later, I came down and got fitted for new Nordica’s, haven’t made a tele turn since that day.

I always thought it interesting and funny that “the ski that changed the [tele] world” was the K2 piste stinx, which was the K2 Two.

You know nothing, Danny. It was the first shaped ski for many folks on this forum. It was a total game-changer. Plus it had a fucking piezo chip.

we would buy lightly or never used CMH Heli skis for 107$ from CMH in Banff,

they all had 977 demo bindings mounted and the shorter lengths were often never used

so for 100 $ + tax you got a pair of rossi's that skied were much like the Tua cirque

but at 1/4 of the price so they were perfect for the cheap telewanker

I've been skiing free heel for about 45 years. In the 70s the tele turn was best if not only way to get down a hill.
I've met the best telemark skier countless times. My friend

I loved my Tuas till the binding ripped out by burying the tip in a bump, upgraded to 7s's with rivas and rocked those with og terminators til I started one planking full time; my knee hurts just thinking about it!

    Thats just nuts right there

I heard these ^^ were an old rossi 3G profile from the 80's, i had spent time on a borrowed set of Tua cirques and I thot these skied very similar, I used to drive me with alico double boots and then T-3's, the last GF took the purple T-3's so the only tele boot I got left is a T-1 which pretty much boss these around

100 + tax got a good cheap tele-ski and a demo binding, so a number of telewankers in town picked these up from CMH and traded away the 977 demo, it was real easy to get a set put on the bus

Since it’s Thursday, I found some older tele-ish photo prints. I do not have a lot of photos, unfortunately, they are in disarray, so I couldn’t find some of my favorites :grrr:
