    so todayto shit was deep,
and the lower mtn shit was begging to be slayed.

this huck fest exists earlier in this thread early season,
now the double stagers are a small huck.
(look for sentiel and backscrather throwing shit)
the snow was good so I thru it twice.
I was riding with a crew but somehow I beat these young punks here and to the gondi?

I've hit several of these lines over the years,
but this one is on my shopping list!

this was my 2nd line thru here today,
and a first time this line. some years this shit is huge.

I just about finished this post, and lost it after a long time sitting here.

    any-hoo ... I'll try again !!!

Today we ventured far far out of bounds ... like ... about 2 feet ...

Brodie decides, I'm next bitches !!!

Randy brought his A game ...

Our next customer is another "crazy frenchie" J.P.

this was the first of 3 lines for the day,
but I better dave it so I don't lose it again.
stay tuned ... or piss off ... either or ...

At the very bottom of this line I spot a fun little pillow double stager,
but as usual, I'm the only one with a camera.
Brodie is about 15 feet belloe me and in a great spot for a happy snap!
but he's looking directly into the sun.
I throw him my shity camera, not in the case,
    and he takes a "specky"!
Thats aussie slag for a "spectacular catch" in cricket.
then he takes yet another specky !!!

I got 5 fun hucks on this line,
    can you see them all?

    I luv this terrain,
And I've had so few days worth pulling out the camera,
coz it kept snowing on me ... swwweeeeeeeeeeeeet !!!

"No doubt" the heli skeirs were having fun too,
they were off the mtns early,
and so were we, the temp"s were a little/lot scarey!

Up on the ridge this cornice had opened up a lot.

Half an hour later while we were heading up the next ridge it fell.

It's in this shot, one of the tight chutes.

    This is my everyday activity.

I better save this before I fark it up again.

And then the we ditched those dodgy snowboarders,
    and slayed line 2 ...

    No J.P. I am not a god,
    I am a demon ...
and you are NOT in heaven !!!

    But I'm not evil ...
    I just crave gnar,
    I feed on fear,
    My drug is adrenaline,
would you like to play ???

They don't call this the dog tooth range for nothing ...
I really hope this pic doesn't get the cornice cut out of the right side of this shot!

How did that get in there ???

    any-hoo ...

on with line number 3 ...

You'll notice that high on north faces the wind blew the wrong way yesterdy.

this is taking up valuable drinking time ...
as I WILL be in first gondi to get on and off it early 2morra.

    a very happy frenchie ...

    Finally I get a bluebird ...
and someone to take happy snaps of.
Please, can some one who knows how to use a camera come and point it at me ???

    I luv late season ...
stable conditions ... sorta-maybe ... give or take the many cornice falls !!!
so I can huck off cornices and other stupid shit,
but you know wot I lack ...
    a farking photogragher !!!
    Bueller ...
    Bueller ...
apparently no one in Golden wants a cover shot.
I have the terrain dialed in,
My bro"s and i have the balls,
and all I have to offer is my tracks.

4 lines for the day OB, all on snowshoes, did I tell you I luv late season.

We named this the ____ playground. it appears earlier in this thread ... maybe

These 2 hucks have no room to speed check in between, so grow some balls and think "flow!"
    and it was good ...

It snowed about 18 feet in 12 days in Tahoe recently..just one huge wet storm after another rolling in puking non-stop. Eat, sleep, ski..come home shovel the porch. Eat, sleep, ski..come home shovel the porch. You get the idea.. We did a number of days at Squaw and it was good..hitting KT with no lines doesn't happen very often, never mind during the heart of a monster cycle. Then we went touring for the weekend just as the crowds rolled in..with crazy Spruce in tow. Winds were gusting all day and visibility was shit, but we were going to ski some sheltered trees and be conservative all around. Basically we got off the line a ways, out of the trees and into a really fun zone that I've skied a few times before, admittedly, in far safer conditions..put one hard turn into the top of a gully feature, eyes and ski tips pointed towards what I thought was an island of safety should the thing go..and indeed it did, fracturing far wider than I expected (obviously). Crown was probably 50 cents, width 15 meters..ran maybe 20 meters with me swimming on top. Little excitement to be had after we triggered two more similar releases on rocky out croppings down lower, but all in all, a pretty low-key incident..just some poorly managed wind-transport in what were otherwise moderate avy conditions. Clearly it wasn't a hugely destructive slide, but as we all know, even small avalanches can have huge consequences..watching the slab propagate around me was pretty wild..not a sight I hope to see too many more times.

Today I took a victim ... I mean volunteer with me on same shoe trail ...
This is day 109 on snow and day 30 doing this 3 ridge traverse.
If we had good light, you'd see he's launching off a cornice,
but my huck was bigger ...

same line as the other day, and had quality wind sift ...

on the uptrack I had a "special moment"

There's nothing like catching your breath while checking out the line you just dropped ...

And the next line looked a little like this ...

So he scoped it on the uptrack, and slayed on the down track !!!

Then I showed him "the cliff"

But everycocksucker who can't huck, traverses right under it so the landing is similar to an inbound traverse.
but he found a little room to work with ...

Letz c wot da morra bringz ...

Now that I'm fed, a green chicken curry with vege"s, thanks for asking.
No new snow but gnar was slayed ...
so we launched off the headwall cornice ...

But I sent it bigger ...

For the best shots, I should just stand in the middle of the chutes run out eh?
instead I have lame and weak shots.

next we slayed this line ...

there was plenty of this ...

    this line was good ...
    with huck options ...

    The hucks were everywhere ...

    Then shit got epic !!!

after 4 laps we were spent,
so we scoped some more big gnar ...

So concludes another epic day of "shredding the gnar!!!"
We have 3 more days of gondi axcess,
I intend to get every last turn of gnar !!!

    Today shit got weird ...

I take these boyz on a sneaky line,
and then I take them into the rock garden ...

    but I went bigger ...
3 TIMES !!! yes I hiked it twice ... photos on buddies camera

Can you see 5 tracks in the far south face in this shot,
no ... neither can I, but there ARE tracks there.
See the cornice in the forground,
thats the entrance for today's line.

yes, thats a good 15-20ft huck entrance ...
I suggest you land about where the shadow point into the chute this side of the nose ...
no, you wont be able to scope it until your in the air ...
    and it was good ...

LIFE BEGINS ONCE YOU HAVE HUCKED OFF A BLIND CORNICE !!! ...

EVERYTHING WAS STOMPED ... so far ...
yesterday's line is the one with the sky above it ...

I will never tire of this,
especially when buddies say "who the fark did that chute !!! how the fark did they get into that line !!!"
"As a matter of fact, I put my crew threw it yeasterdy!"

I'll save this before I make a drunken farkup !!!

After 3 wacks by my ski pole ...
I declair the line good to go ...

It must be my turn to jump something stupid ...

    sweeeeeeeeeeet landing !!!

    Looking a little tracked ???
    GNAR still awaits ...

Ok so the lower mtn is trying to go to mank ...
but I'm all for the stupid option,
and I find fun in others misery,

    did I just say that online ... any-hoo ...

    We huck lotz ...
    and it was good ...

One simply must go back for this ...

and a side dish of this ...

    see my tracks?
he told me it was a triple stager ...
    I missed the third pillow...
    and it was huge ...
    and it was good ...

    no it wasn't a stomp ...
but it wasn't a tomahawk, I was on my feet, deep !!!

    unfinished business ...

Then we went looking for a sneaky line thru the epic cliff band that i've posted more than a few shots of ...
so I send my victim first,

    coz he's a really good scout ...

    So he starts telling me
"We are on the end of the cliff band, and there's a little lane thru the cliff to your left"

    "did you say little lane?"

    and it was good !!!

options are endless for those with balls ...

Wot a shame its all scoping for next season ...
Something to dream(motivate me) about while I pilot my rig for 8 months !!!
