What the F...still lost? My wife is on the way down the hill and it was white out conditions for an hour or so causing the munchkins to call it. The valley is blue sky, so good weather is coming.

She was last seen snowboarding through ski boundary signs near the top of an advanced slope accessible by chair lifts.

GREAT.

...she's a strong athlete who works as a ski instructor.

At least she's experienced in the snow? Hopefully built a snow cave or something.

"Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue" ( http://www.tahoenordicsar.com/ ) had a pretty big setup in the parking lot all day. A helicopter couldn't search because of conditions. Hopefully there's a break in the weather tomorrow, but it's been over 24 hours now. Hoping for the best.

TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Placer County authorities located the body of a snowboarder, who went missing on Tuesday afternoon after she became separated from her friends at Alpine Meadows Ski Resort, according to an official with the resort.

25-year-old Shawnte Marie Willis was found dead on Thursday morning by search and rescue workers, Alpine Meadows Spokeswoman Rachael Woods said.

No, women get special treatment in my book. What happened to her truly sucks. Can't imagine how it feels to be out alone and know you're probably going to die.

Bummer. I got turned around just beyond the ropes at Alpine, and a small ravine prevented me from getting back to the resort. Ended up following a creek to the road, and a short hike back. I wish it would have been that easy for this gal. Shame.
