Remember when the Yanks started 0-8 against the Red Sox in 2009?

Come on - the Sox always have six aces up their sleeve. Go listen to John Kruk, he'll tell ya.

Did anyone catch the 20 minutes they devoted on Sportscenter to the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry last night followed by the 15 they gave it out of the 1/2 hour Baseball Tonight? It was fucking awesome.

Did I miss his 3 run HR that you predicted?
Go check out "New York's hottest new club" instead of living in dreamland.
And, as far as the pitching thing...every real Sox fan knew Dice-K had a chance to be good, but may have blown up (as he did). I am very pleasantly surprised by Beckett, though...and that prediction seems to be accurate on him so far.You should have been here yesterday!

Pow, I saw that too. Gotta right the ship here soon. Masterson is pitching well today, but can't get any fucking run support. Baseball is a frustrating game.
Oh, and the Yanks-Sox-a-thon on ESPN was epic. I highly suggest TiVo'ing it.I still call it The Jake.

as a lifelong yankee fan, i can't think of another time when, on a player by player basis, the team looked so bad. offensively and defensively, no one seems to care. even cano, who seemed like such a double threat looks off.
i know where they are in the AL east, and how early it is in the season, but they are not going to even make it into the playoffs this year with the type of team play they exhibit so far. even if they do, they will get blown out of the water by someone like texas last year.
posada - love the guy, but he should walk away before they can him.
jeter - chasing 3000 hits but only hits ground balls and mostly into double plays
swisher - looks more and more like giambi everyday; a liability in the outfield.
gardner - opposite of swisher - great in the field, doesn't take the bat off his shoulders. i get that he wants to be walked to be on base - so do opposing teams and pitchers. they can pitch 2 strikes almost every time and gardner won't be swinging unless he has to...
arod is a disappointment - period. only cares about HR title and dating famous has beens.
pitching - at least lee isn't looking historically "lee" like in philly (as far as the yankees are concerned)
granderson is having a pretty good year!
sorry, i know not all teams have access to a brazillion dollar payroll. it proves money don't buy success all the time. end of rant.
