The Bear - Chico CA
Le Chamois - Squaw Valley
Lets just say I like bars with extreme amounts of cool junk hanging on the walls and ceilings. At the Bear, there is soo much shit on the ceiling that the Fire Dept will not enter the bar if it is on fire.Best Skier on the Mountain

This is really cool, because now we know where to go when we're in a given town.

i think of the entirety of seven springs as sort of a dive bar. at least that's how plenty of folks treat the place, right? have you ever stepped it up and had a drink at helen's? they've got a cool little setup. it is tough to beat the goggle on a steelers sunday. i read someplace that penn brewery is doing a special beer for seven springs this season. hear about it?
away from the resort proper, there's a few quality spots in the general vicinity. a few years ago the roommate and i would head out for wed night skiing, and then over to a local dive spot named the ponderosa. i think that was wing night. at one point a mother and her daughter were the bartenders, and the grandfather was sitting next to me at the bar. three generations! amazing.“Money has never been my god — never.” - The Chief
