Not really a bar I guess, but the Brick Oven in Crested Butte. Many a good memory from that place. First time I got cougared, watching a thunder storm over the Elks...

    The Bear - Chico CA
    Le Chamois - Squaw Valley

Lets just say I like bars with extreme amounts of cool junk hanging on the walls and ceilings. At the Bear, there is soo much shit on the ceiling that the Fire Dept will not enter the bar if it is on fire.

My all time favorite may not exist anymore or may suck now (based on what I heard), but back when I was an alcoholic and living in Seattle, it was a great place.

This is really cool, because now we know where to go when we're in a given town.

Mostly I go to dives, firehalls and such, that don't really fit in a thread like this.

Fuck no. Those kids were around the corner swilling massive quantities of Coor's Light at one of the kiddie bars, as they were known in 9 Maple.

The Ocean Mist- Matunuk, RI (around forever, great locale, great bands play there, breakfast too!)
Collins Tavern- West Springfield, MA (best hockey bar of all time, hands down- and known to throw out canadiens fans instantly.)
Tunnel Bar- Northampton, MA (great to get schnackered in the tunnel in big armchairs and whatnot)
Goniff's- Magic Mountain, Londonderry, VT (Just awesome every time)
Naismith's- Springfield, MA (A trillion beers on the brewmenu and TONS of micros on tap)
The Mardi Gras- Springfield, MA (best place in the world to see eighteen women's tits at the same time)

There's got to be more, but that's a start...

i think of the entirety of seven springs as sort of a dive bar. at least that's how plenty of folks treat the place, right? have you ever stepped it up and had a drink at helen's? they've got a cool little setup. it is tough to beat the goggle on a steelers sunday. i read someplace that penn brewery is doing a special beer for seven springs this season. hear about it?

away from the resort proper, there's a few quality spots in the general vicinity. a few years ago the roommate and i would head out for wed night skiing, and then over to a local dive spot named the ponderosa. i think that was wing night. at one point a mother and her daughter were the bartenders, and the grandfather was sitting next to me at the bar. three generations! amazing.
