I was wondering why all I'd seen so far was $40 tee shirts and $85 sunglasses.

Ha - yeah but Steven, contrary to popular opinion I make more money on sunglasses than pretty much anything else. Despite all the complaining, SAC customers love to buy Sunglasses, otherwise you wouldn't see them so often.

man it is IMPOSSIBLE to get those deals.

i was refreshing, and the moment it came up, I clicked and it was gone...

sick deal though on the zealots. anything else?

can you give any advice on how best to nag these wonder kid?

if you happen to have them in your cart do you get any sort of moment in which to buy them?

or do you need to be skilled in the entire checkout procedure?

alright, im a little pissed. this whole "bot" thing.
i literally refreshed the page as the climbing shoes hit 0 seconds, added the zealots to my cart and hit check out within 2 second and they were gone.

but wunderkind, thanks for throwing up sick deals all day today, cant wait to see what else pops up.

Zealots for $49 is a good start. Wunderkind never promised huge quantities in the best deals.

to be honest i'm not sure a bot would even do it...

i write a lot of php bots to do various tasks, but you can't really run a cron job more than every minute without running into connectivity issues. you just can't ping SAC that fast. at some point it comes down to luck of the draw.

that said if you want to hire me to try I'll gladly take your money :P

i really think for stuff like this, it comes down to the fact that there were >10K folks on the site all thinking the same thing, and whoever has the best connection to the SAC server/was luckiest/had magic fingers got the skis.

edit: you're in middlebury? in school?

you can't really complain, it was like lottery win for those zealots to whomever the lucky dog is that got them. If you look there were 10,000 people on the page at that time when that deal went live. I was so freaked out by the low prcie that my jaw litterally dropped and the time it took me to say "whoa", was probably the time it took some lucky guy to click them into his basket. Needless, I'll be glued to my screen every 20 minutes or so.

ahhhhhhh.... the long lost sarcasm font was being used.

on the internet we all exhibit signs of autism (and I mean that in the most PC way).

    seriously though... you're in midd?

Gunit, live comments are dead - they had been on SAC about 8 months ago and then came back for a few days. It was the worst idea this company has ever had, sorry to say.

All others, the Zealots will probably be back throughout the day.

I didn't mind the live comments, they kept me on the site longer reading them and some where helpful.

That wasn't to begrudge any first-year Midd kid their Porsche Cayenne S...I say hell yeah! And, gotta dig the vibe on the hill at the snow bowl, even if tree skiing is barely tolerated (they gotta catch me first....260lbs of pure momentum, baby!).
