Mighty Wind
Finally got around to renting this movie. Latest of Christopher Guest's improv things. Amazingly funny. Thank God for the pause button, or you would laugh through half of the jokes. The blond dyke from "Best in Show" is back with an intro speech that had me on the floor. (Everyone else from that movie is back, too). All the songs were written and performed by the actors.
Rent the DVD, 'cause it has a whole track with Guest and Levy commenting on the movie as it plays. You learn a lot about his film technique.

There's a mighty wind a-blowin'
Cross the land and cross the sea,
It's blowin' peace and freedom.
It's blowin' you and me!
That shit is too fucking funny. When the blond woman (head of the main street singers) is talking about her porn career? Amazing.

Yeah..."and now I'm Mrs. Boner"
And that's not a script - most of it is made up on the spot. amazing.

Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight
Little girl, it's a great big world but there's
only on of me
You can't touch 'cause I cost too much but
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight!
You're sweet but you're just four feet
And you still got your baby teeth
You're too young and I'm too well hung
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight!
You're hot, you take all we got, not a dry
seat in the house
Next day, we'll be on our way
Tonight I'm gonna rock you
Tonight!
Chorus:
Little girl, it's a great big world, but there's
only one of me-"There is a hell of a huge difference between skiing as a sport- or even as a lifestyle- and skiing as an industry"

Not to be a downer, but I hated this movie.
It certainly had it's funny moments but when I saw it the theater people were laughing at everything that came out of an actors mouth. Maybe it was the fact that I couldn't hear half of it that biases my opinion. I do appreciate the lack of a formal script though, and the fact that all of the actors are actually playing their instruments (I think)."These are crazy times Mr Hatter, crazy times. Crazy like Buddha! Muwahaha!"
