MOST AREAS WILL OBSERVE NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH, BUT WINDS SUSTAINED AT 15 TO 25 MPH GUSTING TO 40 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED OVER PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON AND NORTH CENTRAL OREGON. THIS INCLUDES THE RATTLESNAKE AND HORSE HEAVEN HILLS. AS TEMPERATURES FALL INTO THE TEENS AND 20S MONDAY NIGHT, THE GUSTY NORTH WINDS WILL CAUSE SINGLE DIGIT WIND CHILLS. SOME MOUNTAIN LOCATIONS WILL LIKELY SEE WIND CHILLS BELOW ZERO. TEMPERATURES WILL BE VERY SLOW TO CLIMB ON TUESDAY, DESPITE CLEARING SKIES. THIS WILL KEEP WIND CHILLS FIRMLY IN THE SINGLE DIGITS AND TEENS THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS. IF YOU MUST BE OUTDOORS TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW MORNING, DRESS IN LAYERS WITH A WARM WINTER COAT. HATS AND GLOVES ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. NOW IS THE TIME TO WINTERIZE YOUR HOME BY PROTECTING EXPOSED PIPES AND PREVENTING DRAFTS. MAKE SURE YOU BRING ANY PETS INDOORS.

Spent the day draining and rolling up hoses, bringing in plants, cleaning stock tanks and installing de-icers. Got all the stray cats tucked up with extra food. Now I'm hoping the wind stays out of the north and doesn't shift to the east like they are saying it might. My barn has runs off the stalls on the east side because the wind seldom blows that way. The horses can stand out of the wind behind a wall but it still makes a mess of things blowing shavings and hay everywhere.

Oh well, such is nature!

I was talking to a woman today. And someone had hurt her with "Words" I wanted to say. It was not about you. It was not personal.
someone with a healthy mind would not have done that.
It was about her issues, that we don't know about
You need to let it go. And cut her some slack. Your out in the public, your "Pretty"
They are always going to come at you.

It has been deemed unacceptable. ...

In Jesus times, a woman was supposed to raise a family and take care of guests and seniors in the family.
She wasn't supposed to talk to men in public.
Men were not to engage in conversation with women in public.
They were outraged at Jesus.
He broke convention.
It was unacceptable.

It isn't unacceptable any more. At least not in the West.
It still might get you killed in some parts of Asia or the Arabia's.


I think it is unacceptable that people are abandoned by their own family, blood, to retirement homes.
Some don't have a choice. But others ... it just ain't right.

You ever think that some of those old folks may have just been total assholes to their children or everyone around them? The older I get and start to see the world with a bit more clarity, the more I realize why some people may kind of deserve to end up in those places. Not all, but many.

A good lesson for all. Be kind to your children and be involved with them, lest they care not for your well being when you need their help the most. The phenomenon's only going to get worse as the latchkey kids of the 80s/90s who had completely absent parents just won't give two rips about their soon to be elderly parents who dumped THEM off at daycare everyday or left them entirely to their own devices so they could work and live their lives. Or many parents of today who spend more time staring at their phones than interacting with their kids. It all kind of comes full circle in the end.
