AVALANCHE CATCHES SUV! Loveland Pass US6 is closed.
I'm still, riding the adrenaline. My hands are shaking. An avalanche took out an SUV on US6 Loveland Pass. The passengers are accounted for now luckily. Thank God. Avalanche calls are nervewracking before you even get there. It's heart pounding to hear everything on the radio as I rush to get out the door and as I drive.
Loveland Pass is closed for the moment.

Actually nearly had that happen a few years ago. Comming to the top, nasty winds created a whiteout. When visibilty came back there was snow sliding down and stopping next to me in the road. Was kinda cool in a scary ass way.

Sounds like the crap that goes down in LCC, Utah nearly every year.
Turn on the Barryvox for the approach in the car. Maybe the idiot Escalades will start coming with internal avy transceivers for all the 'extremo' folks driving them up to Snowbird.
