    How was your show, Woodsy?

Colony Grill, proof pizza in CT rocks

Friday show was fun, good friends, GA thought set was full of long droning songs though, not my fav. Although C Brown made me smile like it was 1996.
Red Hot mama to close was smoking hot.

Sunday show was better for me, more energy, cool covers ( Life During Wartime, Lawyers Guns and Money) Another nod to 94 me in Makes sense to me, very well done.

Enjoyed both nights but as much as i think adding Herring was the best thing the band did since Mikey went down hilll, they rely a lot on his searing solos. It gets a bit repetitive.

Saw Dream Theater down in SF a couple nights ago. First half they played a few new tunes & after the intermission they celebrated the 20 year anniversary of Scenes From A Memory by playing the whole album. Outstanding!!!

    The CONCERT thread

Congratulations to The Cure. Robert Smith said tour 30 year anniversary of Disintegration later this year:

How The Cure owned the 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductions

The Cure Run Through Classics in Exhilarating Rock Hall Induction Set

It was clear right from the start of their set, The Cure are still a band fully capable of wowing on stage. “A Forest,” one of the band’s most popular tracks and a show-stopper in concert, was all consuming in its brilliant guitar work.

Jose Gonzalez with the String Theory Project Orchestra

    At the Paramount in Seattle.

    Kick ass show.

I'd give my left nut to be able to play the guitar like he can.

Saw Angelique Kidjo performing the Talking Heads Remain in Light album last night. Great show, great band. She did an awesome job, amazing interpretation of the album. Few of her own songs mixed in and it all flowed well.

Saw Michael Schenker last Fri down in SF. He's touring with 4 different singers from his nearly 50 year career, they each came out for a half dozen or so tunes & total show time was more than 2 1/2 hours, not bad for a guy in his mid-60s.

i'll be seeing him with dream theater in july. i thought the whole temple of rock thing was a bit corny but after watching some youtube concerts looks like a lot of fun. good times.
