Oh, I heard. Me and 50,000 other people all got told to leave at the same time. Ended up walking back to Pasadena that night, was faster than waiting for the shuttles.
Woke up Sunday, changed my flight to Monday, and went back to watch Gary Numan (he came back for Sun too, even though he'd performed his whole show on Sat), Iggy, and Siouxsie. Worth it.
Love and Rockets on Sat was the highlight of the fest for me.

Caught Love and Rockets in Seattle this weekend. Didn’t think I’d ever see them live having missed them in the 80’s-90’s. Did not feel old.

What I love about seeing bands from back then is that if they've survived to today, and still play, they've had decades of experience and are better musicians now. So generally they sound better - so long as the singer(s) voices have held up.
Daniel Ash is an underrated guitarist.

this certainly applies to The Cure. caught them last night in SLC and it was a phenomenal show. the definitely stretched some songs and pushed into prog-jammy territory. three guitarists and one bass on stage was pretty rad. Wilco levels of guitar changes were amusing. these boys like their toys.
Burn was my highlight as one of my favorite songs ever. Robert Smith's voice sounds flawless and the band brings it. SLC crowd impressed with Sunday night energy right up to the midnight ender.
highly recommend.

Good to hear. I was pleasantly surprised seeing them about 10 years ago at Merriweather. As you mentioned, Robert Smith's voice was still on point. Wish I had caught the SLC show.

Was at the Denver show last night. 10/10, would recommend. Last time I saw them was Disintegration in 1989.
A Forest was the highlight for me. It’s amazing the energy and passion RS can put a song he’s been playing for 6 decades. He did a little jam session with just the bass at the end.
Also impressive was the freak show (said with respect). Everything from pre-teens to grandmas in full punk/goth regalia.
