Not a concert, but hey. Going to see Jim Gaffigan next month at the Count Basie in NJ. I've seen some youtube vids and he is hilarious. Should be fun.

Mystic Sons - Kyuss influenced stoner rock
Mammoth Mammoth - Aussie punk infused hard rock - so much energy!

tried to get tix all 3 nights for Widespread Panic @ the Cap in Port Chester and GA Fri & Sat sold out in minutes, seconds really. Was able to snag one balcony on Sunday, but that sucks.
Phil and Friends
Camp Fire benefit
Live at 2000 PST tonight on Nugs TV for the price of free
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.
Too rich for my blood...however, if it was Kyuss, I would pay triple.
ZZ Top last night. They were good. Only played for 80 minutes. Thought they could have gone longer, but it was worth seeing them in a smallish venue.
Corrosion of Conformity next Tuesday for me. Thats all I got at the moment.
jrad this sunday
love being on the floor at the Cap
Caught second set of Umphreys McGee last night. That band is musically muscular
Eric Church at the TD Garden did not suck last night. My only complaint with my favorite country/rock singer has been that he never plays anybody else's songs. Well, last night he played 36 songs over two sets including FOUR covers, including this rocking Beatles cover:
and "Stay" by Jackson Browne as the Finale. Great show
metalheads up.....sleep with big business!!!

Saw Dorthoy last night. Christ they put out the Dbs. Ears still ringin. Hard to say what it was other than just different. Kinda Janis Joplin meets led zepplin with some aerosmith/ZZTop boogie thrown in.
"Can't you see..."
Last coupla shows I was intending to hit I missed due to Snowmageddon 2019 here in Tahoe.
I was hoping to see Tropa Magica in Reno on 2/4, but the weather was inclimate. Missed them when they swung back through Nevada City on 2/12, again due to inclimate weather and road closures.
Was also hoping to see Parker Gispert (former lead singer of The Whigs) at an intimate living room concert in Reno, but again got stumped by weather.
Ditto for Paris Monster and Hockey Dad.
I have tix to see Atmosphere in March as well as Cypress HIll the following week, both in a small venue in Sacramento. Kinda psyched for those shows as I haven't seen either artist in several years (plus I have interviewed them each a number of times back in the day when I was an entertainment journalist).
Also hoping to catch Black Mountain in Reno (and maybe Sac, too) in late March and then Murs in Reno in April and Swervedriver in April in Sac.
Also have Mike Doughty swinging through Reno on St. Paddy's playing Ruby Vroom, which might be worth a looksee.
And these guys on 3/12, which could be a complete blast of hilarity: http://www.twrpband.com/
Jake E. Lee's Red Dragon Cartel kicked off their 2019 US Tour last night. Hadn't seen Jake since his 1st Ozzy gig at the US Festival more than 35 years ago. I was just a wee bit closer for this one:
"The mind, once expanded to the dimensions of larger ideas, never returns to its original size."
The infamous stringdusters did an unnounced show in Frisco which kicked ass. Mostly shot film, but that 20 bucks was worth tenfold musically.

Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.
