I’ve been a fan of KDTU for [emoji[emoji6][emoji6]] years but never knew about The Greyboy Allstars. I listened to a playlist of them last night and really enjoyed it. Thanks for turning me on to them. Too bad their tour isn’t coming this way.

I went to Cal Poly back in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s and still have never been to that venue!

My buddy went to the 11/4 show @ Stanford and the footage he took is giving me post-show FOMO.

Dead South in Portland, Maine a couple Friday's ago. Tunes from their new album, Chains and Stakes mixed in with older stuff. So good!

the very good news is that you can stream every show from this tour live on YouTube. Tonight's show starts at 9pm PST. Small venue, 2K person in Oklahoma City. Just search KGLW and it should come up, there's a 10 minute timer that shows up with random video, then the show. Plus phans are ripping the streams and posting them. Watched most of the shows this leg and plenty from the first leg. Super cool of them to do it (and probably a good business decision).

    The CONCERT thread

Kenny Ambrose-Smith might be one of the best ever. Everything he touches is gold. Straws in the Wind and Grim Reaper from Remlinger Farm are insane, I can’t stop watching. Love that dude.

Valerie is amazing! Drove over to Denver from SLC just to see her a few years ago. Wish she'd come around more.

Finally got to see American Aquarium. Wow! Maybe the best show I've seen this year (and I didn't know their music very well). High energy from start to finish, great storytelling (gonna be listening closely to the lyrics today) and the crowd was way into it. BJ wrapped it up with a long story about his mom who passed... Don't think I've ever heard a crowd so quiet and respectful. We were not planning to stay to the end but was so good... Couldn't leave.

So much good to say about AA since discovering them back in 2008! Been traveling to see them since 2012 and have seen them all over our great country in large halls and small, intimate venues. Going to the annual Roadtrip to Raleigh should be on any fan's bucket list once in their lifetime. Still friends to this day with members from his previous AA lineup (Ryan, Bill and Whit) and have become friends with Shane and Neil from his current lineup.

Thank God for Red Iguana to bring them back to town each year

Finally, SLC Dawg, you never, EVER, fucking leave an AA show before it is over!!

My first time seeing The Brothers Comatose since they added Addie Levy to the lineup this fall.

Her mandolin ripping adds a whole 'nother gear to the already stellar lineup. The SLC show sold out, Seattle & Portland stops coming up this week.

Haha, I hear you! We usually stay to the end. Been checking out a lot of new bands(to us) and for mid week shows that's the concession with the mrs. That or stay home...

AA killed it and we WILL be seeing them again!

If your free this Saturday Night, highly recommend seeing Jenny Don't and The Spurs before she makes her way over here; Cow Punk is what I'd call her style and she puts on a helluva show. Or, JD McPherson that same night; Rockabilly at it's finest!!

JENNY DON’T and THE SPURS rock!

Although I didn’t find them so much “Cow Punk.”
I felt they owed more to vintage Patsy Cline and OG Country Twang…

Whatever you wanna call ‘em, it really doesn’t matter as they are right and put on a great show.

To give you an idea of their vibe:

I wish it was the following weekend, have heard great things about Jenny Don't. Daughter is flying home from college that night... Maybe I can talk her into a show on the way home.
