    So MTM-

How does telling telling people to kill themselves and being a buttah level douchebag fit into this philosophy?

big shout-out to muted for hooking me up with killer Mike tickets, grateful to be able to go to a show and sit down with stbmrstgapp being like 5 days postpartum.

Killer Mike brought a gospel of goodness, kindness, and healthy masculinity/positive role modeling to the concert in an incredible way. he spent a lot of time talking about his mom, who he had a fraught and somewhat complex relationship with

to that end - MTM - how would your mom feel about you being a bully and a keyboard tough guy?

like the dalai lama says "whenever possible, be nice to others. it's always possible to be nice to others"

Saw Charley Crockett in Reno the other night. He was great as always. Its been fun to watch him sell more tickets. We have Dead South in Reno on Tuesday and then Tyler Childers at Shoreline on Wednesday. Seeing the clips of last night's Sturgill show in SF (which I was a fool for not getting tix), I am fired the F up to see him in Santa Barbara in September. Saw Isbell at Mountain Winery a couple weeks ago. They are tight and sound great. So far, Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real in Reno is far and away the best show of the year. Man, they were great.

Edited to add info...If anyone has any Wook repellant I can borrow? I'm gonna need it for the Billy Strings show in Berkeley on the 18th

Took the girls to see TSwift at Wembley.

Not my favorite “concert” but it was a hell of a performance and the fan base is rabid.
92000 people 5 nights in a row is insane.

Not sure what they are but I saw King Gizzard last night. One of the dudes crowd surfed to the back of the venue, dove in the ocean and got surfed back to the stage.

Saw the Jerry Douglas Band last night. All i can say is if he or they play in your area you simply have to go. The level of musicianship in the band is just off the hook. There's some bluegrass roots and parts to it but it goes way beyond that. Just so good. The guitarist Mike Seal deserves a special mention, that guy is from another planet. Wow.

DSO last night. Recreated a show from ‘85… not an era I listen to a lot. Great She Belongs To Me and Morning Dew.

I had a couple of stickers in my pocket that got confiscated at the gate.

    “What are these?”
    ”Stickers”
“These are not stickers, we know what you’re doing. We’re not dumb.”
”Really? Well you can have them, then. Enjoy!” walk away.

I guess, according to potentially retired law enforcement officers now working concert gate security, that stickers are a drug delivery medium.

    I don’t know… I always had a source of good,clean liquid.

Saw Pearl Jam in Missoula with my 9 yo daughter. I don't *love* their new stuff but man, those guys still send it for a bunch of old fucks. Had a great time but contracted the Coveefe.

Next up? Debating Janes Addiction in SLC in October. Eric Avery is back with them and review of the first show was very positive.

Saw Dweezil last night, has anyone ever seen his name on one of those stupid best guitar player lists? I haven’t and he’s easily top ten for me, seen him like six times now. Effortless fucking gangster on the fret board, played Franks SG most of the night and a little bit with his sunburst Les Paul from the Shut Up And Play Your Guitar sessions. Current road band is a 10+, highly recommended show.

I would have loved to see that particular PJ show because their merch poster was done by a kick-ass artist from the area, Cyrus Walker. We have tix to see Jane's is Reno. Had to do it since it's all the guys AND Love and Rockets opening. I haven't seen them LaR since, IDK maybe '87? 88? at Sand Diego State University.

My wife snagged the plague from the Billy Strings show in Berkeley. Either the Vid or general Wook fever...
