    The CONCERT thread

Just got home from seeing Vulfpeck at the Levitate Festival in Marshfield Mass. First Vulfpeck show since the 2019 MSG concert that's on Youtube. So over the top and tight and funny and great. I’m sure there will be video before long. Hard to even explain, but they alll performed in bathrobes and these weird hats and it ended up with Theo in a bathtub full of ice, onstage, singing, for like 10 minutes. Yeah I dunno. Crazy fun though.

Would love to join on this mission, I think we’re trending towards Willie Nelson’s Outlaw fest in Guilford. Never seen Willie. And the girl can only take so much hamband

Make sure to catch dogs in a pile

Full show from last night (apparently there's a technical glitch in one of the songs, they say they're gonna fix it and I'll repost if I see it)

We have tickets to the Outlaw fest down here in Mass., that should be good. Also pumped for the Beach Road Festival on the Vineyard, that should be great. This is an older version of the poster, they've added a few bands since then

Khruangbin is on my list for later in the Summer. Been listening for a couple years now… good bass groove and the drummer is the backup for the atomic clock.

Yeah I like those guys a lot. Beck, Jason Isbell, Billy Strings and Lettuce all have me pumped too. Neal Francis also. It will be hard for anybody to top Vulfpeck though, that show was off the hook.

I challenge anyone to go to a Frank Turner show and not enjoy themselves whether they know the music or not.

Pearl Jam may or may not be a disappointment. Fuck.

I was talking about Beach Road Weekend, which is still coming up. Neal was on the schedule there but now he's not, no idea what happened.

This weekend is Newport Jazz, I have Fri/Sat tix, pumped for Lettuce and Flexible Flyers mainly. Wife is pumped for Nora Jones.

Ahh, I thought you had Newport Folk tix.

He’s doing a free show in Hartford on 8/18 with Neighbor, great pairing that one will be.

For any New England mags in this thread here's a few gigs I booked this summer https://www.sugarloaf.com/events-cal...concert-series

Was over in Newport today, main act I went for today was Lettuce, which was great at first but then kinda tailed off. I think just having an hour to play kinda screwed them up a little, plus thinking they had to stay on the jazz side of things. It was still good but man the first half hour killed.

Fearless Flyers tomorrow should be killer.

edit: haha I wrote "Flexible Flyers", oops

Some vids (not mine) from yesterday. Great set.

This guy is still posting these vids, hopefully he does a couple more. "Reelin' In The Years" in particular. Groovy shit.

Melvin Seals & JGB played two nights at a distillery in Portland, ME. Went last night, perfect night, great micro show and the band is tour tight!

Summer concerts with the Kid continue…

Khruangbin on a perfect night outdoors in Portland, ME. I’ve been listening for a few years, but first time seeing them live. Good powder skiing music, I believe.

    The CONCERT thread

Went to The Shins last night here in Ogden, I’ve seen them here twice and both were great shows.

Met up with MeatsOfEvil and MeatDrink9 and things spiraled out of control, per normal.

First two shows of summer series at Sugarloaf this weekend. Pressing Strings were great, see them.

Last night Donna The Buffalo was solid as per usual for them
