I've seen Cake live four times and once in Bend actually, going to see them again in September. They put on a solid show.

Get in the raffle when Cake gives away the plant and it enhances your experience.

The venue was perfect, not oversold overcrowded, you can get a great seat anywhere and walk up front anytime. Sound was PERECTION, loud but not too loud, crystalline clear. 3 drummers! Just increible skills and collaboration. Prbably the most impressive technical performance I've ever seen. Sound great to hear Lark's Tongue in Aspic and Starless and Bible Blabk live and many many others great songs. And the crowd, amazing. Mostly gray and over 55, lots of people following the tour, super chill and cool. Concert of the year for me.

Stoked to hear this, without Belew I wasn't sure what to expect since his contributions were such a big part of Crimson 2.0. Levin I'm sure is badass as always but 3 drummers, that certainly must be interesting. Hopefully, Fripp isn't tucked behind his equipment in the dark like I've seen him do previously so you can actually watch him play.

Well, at least I'll be on the younger end of the crowd average, although not by much.

Smoke A Little Smoke. Went to Eric Church at the Gorge last weekend, zero complaints.

Slayer, Primus, Ministry and some Phil Anselmo confab in November. This will be the 3rd time seeing Slayer for the last time. Quite the line-up.

Was there w/mniaw and a host of others. They are at the top of their game for sure, such a powerful and talented band to support Derek's absolutely mind blowing playing.

Targhee Fest delivered as always. Larkin Poe, Nicki Bluhm and Drive By Truckers were my hits of Saturday, Amy Helm, the Motet and Trombone Shorty Sunday. He sure knows how to close out a Fest! Click image for larger version.

Pre-sale or re-sale? Bought the pre-sale and showed only GA, which if all GA, I will be planning on getting there early to get a floor spot. Never been to the Broadmoor.

That band would be great without Derek, add him to the mix and they are a force.

Going to check out Aaron Mills tomorrow night. Local funk and jazz bass god who's played with Outkast and several other groups. It's at a new little club right around the corner from my house. Will probably check out some other gigs there. Delbert McClinton plays there about every 6 months. Sheila E was there last month. Crystal Gayle was also there a week ago. Sinbad's coming there in September.
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

Caught Dispatch last week in Portland. Heavy rock show for them. The entire band crowd surfed to a small stage next to the sound tent half way thru the show and played 3 songs then back to the main stage. Absolutely ripped a cover of "wake up" from Rage

Couple days ago was the Wood Brothers. First time catching those guys for some reason. Great sound for a trio. Solid musicians!
