we might be able to get something done with this place . It all comes down to the next month or so . Or, we get the same crap for 20 more years.
You guys voting is helping. I heard that the paper was blown away by what was going on
Just a week ago this effort was not even started. Now we are getting the current commission to make concessions on the meeting and the voting and they are even getting outside legal advice to check about whether they are required to put it out for bid.
They better. And, we want an airtight performance based contract that gives the community what we want and an increase in Winter tourism and better local job creation.
Thanks everyone!!!!www.freeridesystems.com

voted. This is a great story.
HOWEVER, I highly suggest you edit the title of this thread. You will get way more traction with a title such as "VOTE for Leadville POW access!"
I have seen this thread title as it is here and on NS for a few days and didn't bother clicking on it in either spot. I thought it was some silly gimmick for someone doing a lame school paper or some other BS. Do the right thing and make a catchy title, edit this thread, and on NS you'll have to make a new one. The results will be spontaneously wonderful.
I sincerely hope a slew of clicks can help make the case for enhanced POW access... especially since I could end up in this region in a year or two.

Voted. And I'm gonna work on a letter and send it in later today.
Good luck, Mike, and good on ya for trying to make this happen. It seems to me like a no-brainer. Easy access with one surface lift, a mostly unused lift sitting at the base, a cat-op that loses money, a core group of skiers who I know would start buying season passes, and a big up to the winter economy (which is probably the best thing out of all this). Make it happen, Mike!!!
Crazy to see our random conversations/dreams actually possibly come to fruition!! Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help, from 500 mi away.Skiing, whether you're in Wisconsin or the Alps, is a dumbass hick country sport that takes place in the middle of winter on a mountain at the end of a dirt road.

Voted. I've never even considered going to Ski Cooper, but with this change would likely make it there a couple times a winter, plus a day or two in the summer if they added DH mtb.
