    Buzz,
I'll plan on shuttling people up to 'Basin from SLC on Sat morning and then back, Sunday morning I can drive back up, but have to stay up in Ogden. Have to work on Sunday. Mi Casa is too small and crazy with wierd work schedules that time of year (and the dogs freak with too many strangers around) or else I'd have mags crash there. At least I can offer some transportation solutions.

With any luck I will be unable to attend, as I will likely be returning from Cham sometime around then.

I can understand, you have the Major and I have the Mini. To tell you the truth, I don't think I'll be able to get to Tahoe for the Summit. Not with the Mini and my newly shit on vacation schedule of NO COMP TIME anymore. I went from 12 days vaca to 4 now.

LPH, you are just rubbing it in aren't you. I hate to miss you guys, but we all gotta do what we gotta do.

Lumpy, thanks for the help with the transporting of Maggots.

no, it really has nothing to do with "majors" and "minors". I just have other commitments at this time.

Salt Lake City International Airport. There is a lot of unspoken for room at Maggots places and as I get more info, I can get you some hotel rates. Read MD9's Turkey day at Basin thread to see what you are in for. Will be a perfect time to come out, but I know lph is supposed to go to Cham too aroudn that time. Email me, if you have not already with more questions anytime. Addy in many posts in here.

    Swing it if you can.

Allright, I can get a flight to Chicago on the cheap (187 euro return Amsterdam - O'Hare), so I need a cheap domestic ticket from Chicago to Salt Lake..

Any suggestions (dunno if there would be difficulties with domestic flights as a foreigner in the US) for cheap flights?

Thanks for all the info.. Appears flying to JFK is both cheaper and logistically smarter, saves about a 100 bucks and at least 1 stopover..

Fiddling with airfares..a nice way to turn up the stokeknob a bit

    This got me thinking...

Would it be a good idea for someone to rent one of those big honkin' 15 passenger vans for this purpose? Sounds like there will be plenty of people to fill it and if everyone pitches in for the cost it probably would be a good investment. Just a thought.

I've got another ski trip planned for Feb., so not sure if I can go to Utah, but I'm definitely thinking about it. Sounds like it will be a great time!

    Lightbulb

Im thinking I want skickers for this.

The AD, this could be a possibility. I have thought about that too, but it is only an hour ride. Shuttling may be cheaper and there are a ton of SLCers.

Who else has an opinion in here??

Just coming back to this thread after 5 days at Disney World. Still need a place to stay, also willing to share hoteleries and car rentals with like minded maggots. The big van idea also sounds sweet if it can be appropriately organized.

PS: Left home in the 70's, left Orlando in the high 70's, came home to snow in the mountains, that's what Thanksgiving is all about. Some to be gotten very some down this way.

I'll be at Alta at least a couple of those days so...

If you can bring a case of Fat Tire, you're welcome to my spare bedroom (1 bed) as long as you can tolerate:

    -drinking
    -loud music of my choice
-getting up early and skiing after loud music and drinking
-semi-hyper Australian Shepherd and dog hair all over the house
-verrrrrry boring suburb in the South end of the valley which explains drinking and loud music

If you can't bring a case of Fat Tire, a can of real Bud will do.

It's looking better I've found a returnflight for 400 euro, now I just need the word from my university as to when my 2nd period of exams is (the 1st is unfortunately during the euro-summit, it would kill me if the 2nd would be 1/2 weeks later..)
