Find the little girl already and move the fuck on!
Clearly the budget was chopped for the second season, the first season was a different show altogether.

I like the show, but they have to pick up the pace a bit...with that said, at least they finally showed someone make a decision when Shane shot Fat Ass Otis.

Clearly Hell on Wheels got all the budget, because they are not even allowed to keep guns anymore.

I just finished season one on Netflix instant. What a sweet show. I am on the prow for a site where I can watch current episodes without turning my computer into a walker.
Speaking of which, my only complaint is that its a show about zombies wand no one ever uses the word zombie. I don't know if anyone else has brought this up because I didn't read the entire thread, but come on have they never seen a zombie movie?Keep your tips up and always remember to unhook your pack from the chair...

I told myself I wouldnt watch this week, but I did anyways. This show got so bad its almost funny. It has come to a screeching halt. I literally hate every character with a passion. This ranch has turned into Days of Our Lives with the occasional zombie.

There are moments of good, mixed in with it dragging WAY too long...I still hold out hope they will move on from the farm quickly and get to the great stuff I know is in the future for them.

the whole zombie with gills stuck in the well scene was incredibly stupid - from start to finish.
god this show gets worse every week - so disappointed - the only good moment of this whole season so far is Shane shooting Otis. That's it. That's the only thing that's occurred in this story that is at all compelling. The rest of the story is not only boring - it's actually annoying and gets more annoying every week.
Or maybe I just can't relate to the fiction...

Should we start a "Return of Breaking Bad" countdown?

I still have faith this show will pick up. I'll admit it has been slow lately. I'll end up watching it until the end of the season.

Breaking Bad was slow. A lot. And it remained awesome throughout. The Wire even had slow episodes.
Face it people the problem with this show is not the pace.
Based on what we've seen so far this season what suspense has been built - what are we as "fans" expecting they are building up to? Do they find the lost girl? Do they get to live on the farm? Is she pregnant with Shane's child? That's it. That's all that we are currently "building up to"...ZZZZzzzzzz
ie there is more drama and suspense on Days of our Lives. They probably even have the odd zombie.

getting pretty lame. Close to giving up on it.

The bit about having to give up their guns to the ol' fudd was pretty stupid, but if the writers had any sense, that nice old man and his pretty daughter would use those guns to try and slaughter all our (beloved?) characters and steal all their valuables, since they cant be trusted to leave the farm and not bring anyone else back, ya know, a real us or them desperate moment, but yea, thats not going to happen, which makes them giving up their guns just one more in a long list of really dumb decisions that should have gotten them all killed.
Yea, benny, youre right, the problem is not the pace, the problem is the show just sucks. I confess I love just about anything with zombies because its either A (rarely) actually pretty good, (28 days later, the first night of the living dead) or B cheesefests that make no effort to be great but are full of gore and half intentional humor and are still entertaining in a shut your brain off kind of way. This show manages to be neither.
I think zombies in general have jumped the shark, sad to say it.Last edited by leroy jenkins; 11-14-2011 at 01:40 AM.

I am officially done with this show. From 10/10 to 2/10. What a horrible demise. If there is anything fair in the TV biz some people will be losing their jobs. Too bad they can't scrap it and start over.

Shit. This show is like soap opera with an occasional zombie. How could the first season kick so much ass and the second season go down hill so quick. I've been bored to tears the last few episodes. Get off the fucking farm and kill some fucking zombies.
How many episodes left in this season?

"As noted, AMC's decision to cut the budget dated to the previous fall, when the network instructed Darabont to produce 13 episodes for a second season, up from six for the first season, for less money. Not only would the show get a lower budget, but AMC also decided that Walking Dead would no longer reap the benefit of a 30 percent tax credit per episode that came with filming in Georgia. Now the network was going to hold on to that money."
Well, that explains a lot of this crap...not to mention the parts in the article about AMC being douche-central with Breaking Bad and Mad Men, as well. You should have been here yesterday!

I know she's pregnant and all, but I wish they'd kill off Rick's wife (can't remember her name). She's a huge buzzkill and a horrible actor.

Haven't seen it on here yet but the new name being floated around for the series is "The Talking Dead"
Although things seem to be ramping up in the conflict department for next week.
I am enjoying Hell on Wheels after Dead show...what's orange and looks good on hippies?

It's like watching a friggin soap opera... The preview for next week looks promising but I'm expecting to be disappointed again.
